Duly Noted returns for third year

Posted on Mar 8, 2023 by Katie Kasperson

The Duly Noted training scheme, launched by Eleven, is designed for under-represented groups in television production and script editing

Duly Noted is a training scheme that targets aspiring script editors from historically under-represented groups in television development. Founded in 2021 by Eleven’s Creative Director, Carissa Hope Lynch, the programme offers a London-based, one-week training course, followed by a 12-week, country-wide production placement. This year, the scheme is receiving support from Sony Pictures Television (SPT), the BBC and Screen Scotland.

In its first year, Duly Noted received over 200 applications from individuals across the UK. In just three iterations, it’s expanded both its offerings – having grown to include the 12-week placement – and its team, which now includes Hope Lynch, writer Tolula Dada and Inclusion and Training Officer Sophie Wood.

The scheme welcomes participants from ethnically diverse and lower socio-economic backgrounds, as well as those with disabilities, those who are neurodivergent and those who identify as LGBTQIA+. By doing so, Duly Noted – with the help of SPT’s Creative Diversity Fund – gives these individuals their first production credits and provides a catalyst for future opportunities.

Duly Noted’s 2023 programme is now open for applications, which close Friday 24 March. To learn more about the scheme, including testimonials from previous cohorts, visit elevenfilm.com.
