The Fujinon Duvo 24-300mm will debut at IBC and promises a cinematic look for live broadcast coverage, including sports, concerts, documentary and wildlife
Fujifilm expands the Duvo series with the second model, the portable Duvo24-300 lens for broadcast. Catering to the ever-growing demand for immersive cinematic expressions, like shallow depth-of-field, bokeh and high dynamic range, the Duvo24-300 fills the gap in the broadcast industry.
At present, these cinematic shooting styles are optimised for scripted production, meaning they have a smaller zoom magnification ratio than that for broadcast lenses and often require a specialist in focus operations, making it a good option for photographers and videographers looking for high mobility.
Delivering a 12.5x zoom which covers 24-300mm, it remains compact for increased mobility. It weighs 2.9kg and measures 270mm in length. The lens is engineered for live coverage shooting, specifically for sporting events, music concerts, documentary and wildlife cinematography.
Operated in the same way as a broadcast lenes using zoom and focus demands, it can also be used with a variety of accessories. It is compatible with shoulder-mounted operation, with steadicams and for high-angle shooting using a crane.
Catch the preview of the lens at IBC 2023, the International Broadcast Equipment Show in Amsterdam from 15-18 September.
The Fujinon Duvo24-300mm is due for release in spring 2024.
