We’re heading back to Amsterdam for IBC Show, keen to discover the trends, tools and tips defining today’s pro video production

Back and better than ever, IBC Show returns to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre this 12-15 September. Following in the footsteps of IBC2024, which welcomed over 45,000 attendees, IBC2025 promises to pack an even bigger event into just four days – so strap on your cushiest shoes, grab your water bottle and get exploring!

Upheld by the familiar three pillars – shifting business models, transformative tech and people and purpose – IBC is an annual opportunity to connect and catch up, look back on the previous year and prepare for the future, however it might look. With over 300 confirmed speakers and even more exhibitors spread across its 14 innovation halls, this year’s show has plenty to offer.

2025 marks the latest of many trips to IBC for us, and we’re always hungry to hear about the latest news in pro video. This year’s trends have already become talking points – we expect AI, VP and sustainability to steal the show.

When our feet are tired from wandering the floor, you’ll find us in the conference room, seated for talks from IMAX, MovieLabs, Tubi and more. While there is far too much on offer to truly experience it all, we’ll break down the film-oriented fixtures that we’re most excited for on the following pages.

IBC Future Tech

12-15 September | Hall 14

Putting ‘tomorrow’s technology on show’, IBC’s Future Tech area, based in Hall 14, will explore the most cutting-edge tools and tech on offer – from AI and machine learning to augmented and extended reality, real-time VFX, spatial audio and sustainable workflows. Exhibitors include Microsoft, Google, AWS, Mo-Sys and many others dedicated to pushing the boundaries of media tech.

What you can expect from Future Tech:

  • 100 Years of Television, a visual journey through the history and future of TV
  • Virtual Production with Starting Pixel, a dedicated space for leaders and innovators in content creation
  • The IBC Accelerator Innovation Programme, featuring hands-on demonstrations of nine proof-of-concept projects
  • Allyship in Action: A fireside chat on inclusive leadership in streaming media – part of the IBC Talent Programme on the Hackfest Stage (12 September, 3.50-4.20pm)
