FilmLight Colour Awards announce 2022 nominees

Out of 300+ entries, 25 have been shortlisted for the 2022 FilmLight Colour Awards

Now in their 2nd year, the FilmLight Colour Awards have announced their 2022 nominees. They received over 300 submissions from 36 countries; of those, 25 have been shortlisted across five categories: theatrical feature, TV series and episodics, commercials, music videos, and – for the first time – the spotlight award. This particular prize “aims to recognise the unsung talents” in colour grading.

The nominees are as follows:

  • Being the Ricardos – Ian Vertovec, Light Iron
  • Dune – David Cole, FotoKem
  • No Time to Die – Matt Wallach, Company 3
  • Three Thousand Years of Longing – Eric Whipp, alter ego
  • West Side Story – Michael Hatzer, Picture Shop
Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty stars Quincy Isaiah as Magic Johnson

TV series and episodics:

  • Euphoria (season two) – Tom Poole, Company 3
  • Landscapers (complete season) – Thomas Urbye, The Look
  • The Man Who Fell to Earth (“Cracked Actor”) – Samuel Chynoweth, Picture Shop
  • Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty (complete season) – Walter Volpatto, Company 3
  • Your Attention Please (season three, “Volume 9”) – Clinton Homuth, Artjail
Porsche's commercial, 'One of Us' is nominated for best commercial colourisation
