It’s Cine Gear Expo time!

The beloved Convention is back with hallmark exhibitions, film competition, seminars, screenings and world class hobnobbing – truly the place to reconnect with colleagues, friends and collaborators in the casual LA Cine Gear style.

Situated in buzzing downtown, the centre’s high ceilings provide a bright and airy space for the indoor exhibits. There is of course an outdoor space as well, with bags of on-site parking and good access to public transport.

In the vicinity is the LA LIVE! Entertainment complex with theatres, the Crypto.com Arena, the world-renowned Grammy Museum, along with mouth-watering resturants and top-notch hotels. As you can see, there will never be a dull moment!

Kicking off the event on Thursday June 9 will be at noon with the Film Series competition, extending throughout the day with screenings in the Student Short, Indy Short, Commercial and Music Video categories.

Exhibition halls are opening 2 p.m. – 7 p.m.. Guests can mingle with hundreds of exhibitors from the tech world. From ARRI to Zeiss, this is LA’s best opportunity to check out the latest equipment and services. Get your hands on cameras, optics, lighting, grip, stabilizers, motion control, robotics, streaming equipment and so much more! The top tools of the trade are at your full disposal.

On Friday, the doors will open from11 a.m. – 7 p.m.. Cine Gear will host its annual VIP party and ceremony on Friday evening. This is co-sponsored by Chapman/Leonard Studio Equipment Inc. and Sony Electronics. Look out for the winner of the Film Series competiton as they will be announced too! In true Cine Gear tradition, several industry favourites will be honoured for their contributions to the art and technology of filmmaking. Surprise special guests will be making an appearance, so keep your eyes peeled. We have been given an exclusive insight into the event following our chat with Vika Safrigina from Cine Gear.
