Real SFX expands with a new workshop at The Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol, enhancing its presence and creating job opportunities

Leading special effects company Real SFX has expanded its reach by opening a new workshop at The Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol, joining a growing creative hub.

Founded in 2008, the Cardiff-based firm is known for its work on productions like Doctor Who and Peaky Blinders, specialising in pyrotechnics, atmospheric and mechanical effects.

The move was praised by founder Danny Hargreaves for strengthening their Bristol presence and creating new job opportunities.

Real SFX also recently launched KIT4CREW – a recycling initiative for industry workwear – which earned it green business of the year at the 2024 South Wales Business Awards.
