The Avid Artist | DNxIO high res content IO box co-developed with Blackmagic Design is now shipping from a launch at this year’s NAB Show in April.
To boost launch sales AVID is offering a limited time (Ends September 30) 20% off or more deal if you trade-in Nitris DX or Mojo DX or even competitor boxes from companies like AJA, ironically Blackmagic Design, Matrox and MOTU. So you’ve got a week to decide!
But is the new box worth it? Avid Artist | DNxIO enables video professionals to capture, monitor and output Ultra HD, 2K and 4K media, as well as HD and SD formats. It fits in standard 19-inch equipment racks and they say it is quiet enough to place on the desk of an edit bay. The HD display allows editors to monitor media that is being ingested into and outputted from the system, even when the software is not running.
Avid Artist | DNxIO is bundled with the Fusion Connect plugin for Media Composer giving users access to node-based effects compositing tool from within the Media Composer user interface. Onboard DNxHR encoding for capture workflows will be enabled on DNxIO via a future no-cost firmware update.
Avid Artist | DNxIO is available now as a standalone solution for existing Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Resolve and Fusion customers, or bundled with Media Composer to provide a complete turnkey high-resolution solution.
