Introducing the Bun-G-Ring

Posted on Feb 11, 2025 by Admin

The launch of the Bun-G-Ring offers a fast, secure and universal alternative to taping filters

BSC Expo in London will mark the first official launch of the Bun-G-Ring. Developed by industry professionals, this product is designed to minimise the common drawbacks of taping filters.

This innovative product is a lightweight, durable and fast solution compared to traditional methods. While taping filters involves a longer setup time and risks equipment being damaged, the Bun-G-Ring mounts filters securely in under six seconds.

As the name suggests, the Bun-G-Ring overcomes the common drawbacks of taping filters by using a bungee-cord-based mounting system to hold filters in place. These cords use aerospace and extreme sports technologies in their fibres to optimise the product for variable shooting conditions.

With the demands of the industry in mind, the Bun-G-Ring has been designed to facilitate differing production needs. The universal fit allows different-sized filters to be used within the same shoot and the lightweight yet strong design gives the product durability.

The combined 40 years of experience of assistant cameraman Stevie Vos and gaffer Erno Das has led to the creation of the Bun-G-Ring. With Second Reef as an important partner and exclusive worldwide distributor of the product, the team aims to create a large dealer network and introduce the Bun-G-Ring to the wider film-making community.

To celebrate the launch of the Bun-G-Ring, a special limited BSC EXPO introductory price will be available. Find out more information at bun-g-ring.com
