First Training for da Vinci Resolve 7

Posted on Sep 16, 2010 by Alex Fice

Da vinci Resolve controllerJigsaw Systems, in association with the International Colorist Academy (ICA), has announced the very first accredited European training session for the release of DaVinci Resolve version 7. The training combines elements of Resolve 201 alongside Resolve 101 and will allow students to have hands-on experience of the Wave and Resolve control surfaces.

Available as a three-day event at a central London training venue in September, the itinerary will involve a full demo of the system on the Linux and OSX platform, a guide to customising your user settings and training on all the system’s key features as well as having ICA colourists on hand to offer practical advice. Training will be done by Blake Jones, a colourist for over 25 years, an independent contractor with DaVinci for more than ten years and who is also the author of two industry related books.

The course will take place between September 22nd and September 24th and will cost £1,000 ex VAT for the full three days. All students will receive an ICA certificate with a Blackmagic Design endorsement. Places are strictly limited and are expected to fill up quickly. Jigsaw will shortly be running two separate courses for Resolve 101 and Resolve 102 so this combined session offers a significant saving.
