The T9 SSD is engineered for performance and reliability, enhancing productivity for professionals

Samsung has added to its T-Series line-up of Portable Solid-State Drives (SSD) with the T9. Twice as fast as previous models, the stylish T9 is built to keep data safe while on-the-go, empowering professionals with reliability and convenience. It features a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface and has a max capacity of 4TB.

The T9 offers maximum sequential read/writer speeds of 2000MB/s on the USB interface, which allows for transfer of 4-TB within a few seconds. There are different capacity options to suit each need – 1TB, 2TB and 4TB. Measuring about the size of a credit card, the T9 offers portability while packing a storage punch.

Among the functional advantages, there are design perks too. Based on the rugged concept of the T7 Shield, the T9 features curved diagonal lines and reverse carbon patterns to give a rubber-like feel.

If you’re always on-the-go or are just simply prone to dropping things, worry not! The T9 us resistant to drops of up to three meters high and comes with a five-year limited warranty. Samsung wanted to design a drive that keeps data safe, while empowering creators to push the boundaries of their creative visions. It also features the company’s Dynamic Thermal Guard to minimise performance drops from overheating.

The Samsung Magician software provides features like performance benchmark, security functions, firmware updates and real time health status check. The updated 8.0 iteration integrates all Samsung software, and the OS support range will be expanded for Windows, Mac and Android.

Wanting to support seamless workflow, Samsung has ensured that the T9 meets the USB Type-C power spec. This makes compatibility across operating systems simple.

Price and availability

With the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices of £117.49 for the 1TB, £199.99 for the 2TB, and £362.79 for the 4TB, the Samsung Portable SSD T9 will be available to consumers in October 2023.
