PAG has introduced a Gold Mount version of its intelligent linking battery. The new PAGlink HC-PL94T is compatible with Anton/Bauer camera plates and Li-Ion chargers but the PAGlink battery is smaller and lighter than the new Anton/Bauer D90, and Dionic HC, with a higher energy density.

PAGlink is the only system that allows up to eight batteries, in any state of charge, to be linked for charge or discharge. Linking batteries combines their capacities, providing extended run-time and increasing the current draw capability from 10A to 12A. This is ideal for power hungry camera set-ups that include multiple accessories. PAGlink allows batteries to be hot-swapped or hot-added for continuous power.

The system was designed so that crews can fly legally with all the high-capacity Li-Ion power they need, by simply linking batteries on location (2 = 188Wh). The batteries have an individual capacity below 100Wh, and have been independently tested to UN standards; which means they are unrestricted in quantity by air transport legislation.

Linked battery charging was developed by PAG and is an industry first. At the end of a days shooting, batteries can be stacked on the charger, and by morning they will all be charged and ready to go again, putting an end to midnight battery swapping.

The HC-PL94T incorporates PAG’s numeric Run-Time & Capacity Display, which shows remaining camera run-time on-load, in hours and minutes, and individual capacity as a percentage.

PAGlink batteries communicate automatically with the camera data system to display remaining capacity in the viewfinder and LCD. PAGlink is also available as a V-Mount system of batteries, chargers and accessories.
