Broadcast and professional AV are no longer running on parallel tracks. They are converging into a single production landscape, and Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) is where that shift will be made visible. Returning to Fira de Barcelona, Gran Via, from 2-5 February 2027, ISE arrives under a new banner, When Worlds Unite, a fitting description for an industry where storytelling, technology and live production are increasingly built from the same toolkit.

For broadcast professionals, the significance is straightforward. As the boundaries between broadcaster, content creator and AV specialist continue to blur, ISE 2027 will explore what that means for any organisation trying to create richer content and reach audiences in new ways.

The timing matters. According to AVIXA’s Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis (IOTA), the global Pro AV market is valued at more than $330 billion in 2025 and forecast to exceed $400 billion by 2030. That growth is being driven by enterprises well beyond traditional broadcasters. Businesses, educational institutions, venues and public sector bodies are all now producing content for audiences across physical and digital channels, and investing to do it properly.

ISE 2027 puts that shift on the show floor. The Broadcast AV Technology Zone, in Hall 4 brings together the tools built for this changing production environment: cameras and virtual production, cloud workflows, AI-enhanced tools and secure IP infrastructure, spanning both established broadcast and the faster-evolving segments now producing at scale. Confirmed exhibitors already include major names such as Blackmagic Design, Ross Video, EVS, Grass Valley and Vizrt, alongside specialists including LiveU for IP-based transmission and Solid State Logic and Roland for audio production.

A highlight of Hall 4 will be the new ISE Broadcast Enterprise Stage, powered by AVIXA TV, which will showcase live broadcast technology in action, with a programme of content presented in a studio setting. Visitors will be able to experience first-hand the production tools and workflows that can be used in corporate applications and content creation, from live streaming and podcasting to studio production and immersive visual environments.

Across the wider show, the emphasis is less on individual products and more on how they work together. That shift toward more agile, cloud-based and smarter workflows is giving organisations the ability to build production capabilities that scale and adapt as their content needs change.

From content creation to intelligent communication

Better production is only half the story. The next stage of this evolution is about understanding audiences, not just reaching them. AI and analytics are starting to reveal how audiences actually engage with content. Transcription and translation tools, including those from exhibitors such as AI-Media, are opening that content to new languages and markets. And metadata, unglamorous as it sounds, is becoming the thing that makes growing content libraries usable rather than unmanageable.

At ISE 2027, visitors will see how these capabilities are moving from add-on to infrastructure, and what that means for teams trying to work more efficiently while making content that resonates with their audience.

Spark returns for 2027

Spark, introduced at ISE 2026, returns to bring the creative and technology communities into the same room. It is a forum for creators and technologists to compare notes on how emerging tools are shaping what gets made and how.

For broadcast professionals, Spark offers a different lens on a shift taking place across the creative industries: technology is no longer simply supporting the creative process. It is increasingly defining what is possible. That makes Spark relevant beyond its immediate audience, particularly as the boundaries between broadcast, content creation, immersive experiences and creative technology continue to blur.

In 2027, Spark will take place 3 and 4 February as it expands into a larger footprint at Fira Montjuïc, with more stages, a deeper content programme, live showcases and immersive experiences, just a short shuttle ride from the Gran Via halls.

Why attend

ISE 2027 is a chance to look past the tools broadcast professionals use today and see where the wider content ecosystem is heading. As professional production becomes accessible to more organisations, the line between broadcaster, content creator and AV user keeps narrowing, creating new competition but also new opportunity.

In a world where almost any organisation can become a content producer, understanding that shift is no longer enough. Organisations need to act on it. ISE 2027 gives traditional broadcast professionals the opportunity to explore new production models, while enabling the AV industry to engage directly with the trends and opportunities reshaping broadcast. For both communities it is a chance to connect, experiment and get ahead of where content creation is heading.
