New immersive hub deploys Alphalite and Mo-Sys technology

Posted on Sep 26, 2024 by Samara Husbands

The SHIFT hub leverages Alfalite and Mo-Sys technology to drive innovation in immersive audio-visual tech, offering hands-on training and industry collaboration opportunities

University of Greenwich, London has chosen Alfalite displays for its newly minted Shared Hub for Immersive Future Technologies (SHIFT). Aiming to pioneer the study and development of advanced audio-visual tech, this new centre utilises the Alfalite Modularpix Pro 1.5 ORIM VP XR LEDWALL, providing an advanced platform for the creation and display of XR content.

Mo-Sys has been responsible for the supply and integration. In addition to Alfalite’s LEDWALL, it has also integrated its StarTracker Max systems and other XR solutions for a complete VP XR solution. SHIFT will ultimately design virtual production training programmes for industry professionals, participate in research and knowledge-exchange projects to identify new products in the sector and offer employment and internship opportunities for students in the film industry.
