MPTS is returning to Olympia London for its 2026 edition, packed full of new show features to explore
Celebrating a decade strong this May, MPTS returns to Olympia London with a showcase of the latest media, production and broadcast tech, plus a schedule of panel discussions. With 300+ exhibitors, the event is expected to attract over 13,000 professionals from across the M&E landscape, and the organisers promise a host of new show features to explore.
Debuting in 2026 is the Creator Hub, which is dedicated to the booming creator economy, spotlighting short-form video, influencer marketing and monetisation, plus there’s a brand-new live podcast studio to discover, exploring the latest trends in on-demand audio and giving a behind-the-scenes look at podcast production. You can also expect an expanded SMPTE Conference, serving up keynote presentations, a variety of hands-on sessions and interactive panel discussions with industry heavyweights. The Post Production World Conference is back too, with a programme covering motion graphics, VFX and more, hosted in partnership with Future Media Conferences.
Predictably, artificial intelligence is set to be a hot topic at this year’s event. In the AI Media Zone there are sessions on Adobe Firefly for video production, AI ethics and copyright, and how AI has moved beyond experimentation and into everyday production workflows. A key session to look out for is: The AI Shift: Where Does the Media Industry Go Next?, which brings together experts from BBC R&D, Ofcom, Uncanny Harry AI and Digital Catapult for a panel that shares how industry leaders are integrating AI responsibly, strategically and effectively managing risk.
Another highlight will be the UK Production State of the Nation, which takes a frank look at the landscape following a turbulent few years, plus you can hear from BAFTA albert about its potentially paradigm-shifting Spark campaign: a roadmap for clean power in the film and TV industry by 2030. Farnborough and Warner Bros Leavesden will discuss ways into serving the creator economy, while DOP Alister Chapman speaks on the rise of small but mighty cameras – and how they’re changing the face of what a cinema camera actually is. Other talks to check out on the production front include Getting to Greenlight: How TV Shows Are Funded Today; Open to Work: Reinventing Skills for a Changing Industry; and Virtual Production: Hype vs Reality.
Here’s a taste of what’s on the show floor!
